Last week storm

Last Thursday there was a huge storm that moved into town. We just got a lot of rain and some hail on this end of town. Ken's mom lives in Wheat Ridge and was awoken to a loud noise. When she looked outside she found the source. One of the tall Blue Spruce trees in her front yard was now on the neighbors garage. Wheat Ridge got the gale force winds and caused quite a lot of damage. Luckily no one was hurt.

Mom's Birthday

We Played in the sprinklers.

Ken and Joseph played ball.

After all that playing it really makes you need a rest.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

On July 1st we celebrated my Mom's birthday. Happy Birthday Mom!!

Joseph helped with the cake. He loved taking the candles out and licking the candles.

As you can tell he really enjoyed eating the cake as well.

Camping and investigating

Ken and I went to investigate the new hunting grounds for this hunting season. Ken had to cut a few trees out of our path

and move a few rocks out of the road to get thru.

But we were able to enjoy our journey

We looked over the land and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

We enjoyed the views of the area.

We saw some animals. This is the only picture I ended up getting.

At the end of the day we enjoyed a very nice view at sunset.

8th grade Continuation

William attended his 8th Grade continuation from Omar D Blair Charter School on Friday
May 29, 2009. He is now officially a High Schooler.

These are his Friends Gerald and Robbie.
Robbie and William are really good friends and we are sad that they will not be attending the same High School. Hopefully they can continue to be good friends.

Korilyn's Wedding

My Friend from church and High School got married on May 30th. I was able to go to her wedding and help to celebrate with her. She seems to have married a very nice man Eldon. I am so excited for the two of you. Congrats!!

The Newsum

We went the Newsum which is the museum that is all about how we get our news. as you can see the kids were ready to go. They did have a really cool 4-D movie that we saw that had seats that moved and cold air that blew on you. It was so weird to have the sensation of getting water thrown on you and rats climbing on your feet. Everyone enjoyed it.

Washington Memorial

When William saw this on the day that was raining he said it looks like the Monument is crying. At the very top was two dots that flashed red and then the two windows for eyes. This picyure doesn't do it justice in the least.

We went to the Washington Memorial. I never realized just how tall it was. If you notice the different color on top it is because while building the monument a war broke out and so they had to stop building to put the money towards the war. Many years after the war was over they decided to start building on it again. They used the exact same marble from the same place but because there were so many years between the two times working on it the stone on the bottom was aged from the weather. This is one of the tallest masonary structures in the world.
